ALL MUMBAI CATHOLIC CCR DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM – STRENGTH RALLY
6TH APRIL 2025 – St. Pius Seminary Hall, Goregaon
This blessed year of Jubilee 2025, saw the Catholic Charismatic Renewal – Mumbai complete its second batch (2024-25) of the All-Mumbai Catholic Discipleship program of the CCR, that was conducted over 7 zones with candidates from across 47 parishes.
In Navi Mumbai, the program was held at Parish level (St. Theresa, Airoli) while in the 6 other zones, the program was held in the zonal format. This year the discipleship course had 14 coordinators, 45 animators & 205 candidates.
The Discipleship program is not aimed at creating another association or cell in the Parish but is primarily a Christian character formation program for all Catholic lay faithful based on Catholic Charismatic spirituality. This formation is meant to benefit Parishioners in all spheres of their personal, family & community life by focusing on Christ centered living based on the principles of spiritual discipline, humility & commitment to Church mission. Most of the commissioned disciples of the last 2023-24 batch were more than willing to volunteer as intercessors for the “MY DAY WITH THE LORD”, chain intercession prayer at the CCR chapel, besides taking on other ministry responsibilities in their respective Prayer Groups & Parishes.
The 2024 – 25 batch ran from Aug 24 to Mar 25, culminating with a strength rally on 6 Apr 2025 wherein all participants were commissioned to serve their respective Prayer Groups & Parishes in various ministries, cells & associations. Besides learning necessary life-skills, the commissioned disciples have received suitable formation to take on Church mission at the Prayer group & Parish level more committedly with humility & obedience. The recorded testimonials of many of the participants bear witness to the transformative impact the Lord has realized through the discipleship program. “Fiat voluntas Domini” .
