ST THOMAS PRAYER GROUP, GOREGAON (E.)
St. Thomas Prayer Group visited Shanti Nivas, a home established by the Brothers of Charity (from Italy) in 1997 and now a part of St. Jude Community Center, Malad East. This is one of the successfully managed project in the Archdiocese of Mumbai; a center for Prayer and Service for the poor & destitute.
14 members of our parish, young & elders joined in to celebrate the joy of the members residing at Shanti Nivas on 21st October, which coincided with the Mission Sunday.
Our prayer group was warmly welcomed by Fr. Hubert Goveas (priest-in-charge) who also introduced us the members currently being supported. He informed us that these members were not called Inmates but lovingly addressed as Ashramites.
Together with the members, we participated in Praise & Worship followed by a Prayer at the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel. We were invited by Fr. Hubert to also pray over him as he had just been out of hospital.
As it was about tea time we visited, our Prayer group was treated to a nice hot cup of tea. The provisions our Prayer Group members had brought was shared as a token of love for the Ashram.
It was a humbling experience to see the simple, yet profound faith of these members. This experience has inspired the Prayer group to start a Visitation Ministry in the Prayer Group.

REMEDIAN PRAYER GROUP, KANDIVLI (W.)
Remedian Prayer Group (Our Lady of Remedy Church) – Poinsur, Kandivli West (North – A Zone) “The REMEDIAN prayer group reached out to 35 homebound parishioners on their Mission Sunday visits. They moved out to homes in pairs. They were warmly welcomed with smiles and hugs. Inspite of their age the homebound were eager to share touching moments in their lives. Some shared the trials and difficulties they faced on account of their sickness or living alone. Their sharing made us realize how fortunate and blessed we were. A prayer schedule of a hymn, reading of a psalm, a prayer for them and the Lord’s prayer was held in each home and all the family members participated in it. Every homebound member was given a token of love. They expressed their desire to be visited more frequently and not only on a Mission Sunday. It reminded us of Mother Theresa’s words “” The only cure for loneliness, despair and hopelessness is love.”” Hence the prayer group has agreed to schedule periodic visits to the homebound in the future.
Praise God.!!!”

ENLIGHTENED FELLOWSHIP PRAYER GROUP, SANPADA
Enlightened Fellowship Prayer Group – Sanpada Navi Mumbai : “On Mission Sunday 22nd October Enlightened Fellowship Prayer Group Members visited the home bound sick Parishioners of Good Shepherd Church.
It was a heartfelt moment for all of us to meet those members who were once active in our Parish and now some confined to their home and bed. The time was joyful and tearful for them too as they met us after a along time.
We prayed for their needs, read the Word of God, sang Hymn Praising our God and enjoyed conversation remembering the old days.
