Santa Bandra – Zonal Leadership Program

Venue : Our Lady’s Room of St. Peter’s Church, Bandra

Zone   : Santa Bandra Zone

The Pastoral Leadership followup programme was conducted by Bro. Victor Pereira, on Saturday the 28th of February from 4 pm to 8pm at our Lady’s Room of St. Peter’s Church Bandra for the Santa Bandra Zone.

Testimony :

We started by snacks followed by a very anointed time of praise and worship led by a young group, then at 5pm we began with inputs shared by Bro. Victor which are very useful for the growth of our core groups.

We would like to summarise a few points as described below :

• God has set us free to worship Him.
• Learn to “Hear” Him and be “receptive”. There is lack of receptivity in us.
• We need to cultivate relationship. God is not so much interested in our work for Him, He is interested in a relationship with us.

Different levels for growth.

1. Repent and believe :
Overcome habitual sins by cultivating the opposite virtue

2.Discipleship : Conversion from attachments … Detach yourself from things that over- occupy your mind and attention

3. Life of sacrifice : Give up something you cherish … ask yourself …what price am I paying ?

4. Attitude towards suffering :
Take up the cross … voluntary action

• Don’t follow the “feelings” but follow what you “know”
• Learn to appreciate one another, esp in the core team. Reconcile where necessary.
• Pastor atleast one person from the prayer group to grow spiritually

Then we had a workshop asking us to reconcile with our Core group members and individuals if any.

Then at 8pm we wound up with a vote of thanks given appreciating the efforts put in by many members, and also thanking all Coordinators for inviting all past n present CG members.
