  •  NORTH A ZONE

The Annual National Day of Intercession for the North A zone consisting of 9 prayer groups was hosted by The Cornerstone prayer group of St. Anthony’s church, Malvani, Malad West from 10am to 5pm. There were about 145 people who attended and participated in the program.

Being the month of October, the program began with the Rosary, followed by Praise and Worship led by Ralph Fernandes along with YU4C North – A . The team had chosen lovely hymns and we had a beautiful time of worship.
Soon after we had a talk-cum-workshop by Fr. Arun Philip SJ, youth in-charge at Our Lady of Lourdes church, Orlem. The topic was :Intercessory Prayer and Personal Transformation. Fr Arun asked us to ponder on who we are, our identity, our relationship with God and others for whom we intercede.

Next talk was by Fr. Mario Mendes, parish priest of St. Ann’s church, Pali Hill, Bandra on Interceding for Global Issues and Social Justice. Fr. first began by explaining what is prayer, concept of sin personal and social and hence the need for social justice which is a doctrine of the Church. The session was inspiring as well as intriguing.

At 3pm, we prayed the Divine Mercy chaplet followed by intercessions led by each prayer group and the YU4C. Each prayer group was asked to pray for a special intention. We prayed for the Church, CCR, youth, India, State elections, General elections, The Judiciary in India, Pro-life movement as well as Global issues facing the world.

The day ended with a vote of thanks by Zonal Coordinator, Glynis Viegas.

We sang, we danced, we discussed, we shared, we learnt, we prayed and we loved. All for the greater glory of God.

 

  • ANDHERI (E.) ZONE

The prayer groups from the Andheri East Zone gathered together for a time of Praise and worship, intercession, listening to the Word of God and celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The program was hosted by the Sahar prayer group at our Lady of Health Church – Sahar from 2.30pm to 6.30pm. Invitations were sent to the various prayer groups of the Andheri East Zone. Mrs. Janet presided over the program and it was well attended by many participant. The time began with Praise and Worship led by Brother Vivian Dias and his team. Followed by Divine Mercy chaplet. Fr. Allwyn conducted an intercessory prayer while reciting the mercy chaplet. Fr. Allwyn then shared the word of God on the topic “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done”. He shared a wonderful insight on how the kingdom of God is within us. During adoration, each prayer group came forward in a well organized sequence to pray for the Country, the Church, the CCR and the Youth. In the presence of the Eucharistic Lord, we sought the method to pray with and through The Word of God. Father Allwyn prayed for healing and deliverance. The program ended with Mrs. Jennifer Machado sharing a vote of thanks. All faithful then joined together for the Eucharistic celebration celebrated by Fr. Allwyn and Fr. Joe Pereira.

 

  • CHEMBUR & KANJUR-MULUND ZONE

NIN of the CCR in India had organised the National Day of Intercession on 2nd Oct, 2023 The Chembur – Mulund Zone held the Zonal Night Vigil on 1st Oct, 2023 commemorating The National Day of Intercession at Holy Trinity Church Powai from 10:30pm – 5am.

Ps 144:1 – Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.

We started with praying to our Mother, invoking her Intercession and protection through ‘The Rosary’ which was led by Our Lady of Lourdes, Kanjur East Prayer Group. P&W was led by St. Xavier’s, Bhandup Prayer group. The inspiring talk on Mat 6:10 ‘Thy Kingdom come, thy well be done’ was by Br Gregory Fernandes who also led us into a time of ministering which resonated the theme ‘Thy Kingdom come’.

Past midnight we were kept awake by the action songs which followed with God being glorified through the sharing of testimonies. Intercessions were led by the Intercessory groups of Powai, Bhandup, Pestom Sagar, Vikhroli and Mulund Prayer Groups for the following intentions – Church, Country, Charis & Family, YU4C/TU4C/CCR Mumbai, Prolife respectively.
The Divine Mercy was prayed by Our Lady of Lourdes, Kanjur East Prayer Group.
We concluded the Night Vigil with the highest form of Thanksgiving – The Eucharistic which was celebrated by Fr. Cajeetan Pinto – Parish Priest and Spiritual Director of Holy Trinity Church, Powai.
We thank God for his blessed presence all throughout the Night Vigil

 

  • KALINA KURLA ZONE

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people. –    1 Tim2:1

National Intercession Day was held in our zone on Monday ,2nd October’2023 at St. Joseph the worker church, Bandra East from 9:30 am to 1 pm.

Planning was done with prayer and delegating responsibilities to each Prayer group.

The programme began with Praise and worship led by Kalina Prayer group followed by a talk given by Rev. Fr. Rocque Michael on the theme given by CCR – ‘Thy Kingdom come; thy will be done’. He highlighted on two kingdoms -light and darkness, Christ’s kingdom of glory and grace, prayer of ‘Our Father’ and quoted scriptural verses pertaining to the Kingdom of God. He led us into a time of adoration with the exposition of Blessed sacrament. The worship intercession was led by Bro. Arun D’Silva (EC member) by praying prophetically over various needs -country, CCR, zonal and prayer group. He was accompanied with Dr. Angelica Dsouza (EC member) along with the music ministry of Kurla prayer group. Holy mass was celebrated by Fr. Sebastian Pillai. In his homily he reflected on humility as ‘the biggest quality to serve in the kingdom of God’ and ‘how to intercede with one’s guardian angel’. It was concluded by an action song sung by the youth of Bandra East – ‘God is good, all the time’. The four leaders of the zone and the ECs accompanied in the song holding the flag of India and a globe conveying the message -To spread the light of Christ and build God’s kingdom in our prayer groups, Zone, Country and the world as His powerful prayer warriors.

A fruitful day was spent in prayer and fellowship.

 

  • NAVI MUMBAI ZONE

The National Day of Intercession on 2nd October was organized by Navi Mumbai Zone at St Theresa of Child Jesus Church, Airoli.

It was an annointed service. Approximately 80 Intercessors from various Prayer Groups of Navi Mumbai took part. It started with an annointed time of Praise n Worship followed by the breaking of the Word by Deacon Everest Mascarenhas as the theme was “Thy Kingdom Come” Deacon shared from the Gospel of Mt 13:31 and gave us a spirit led reflection on the same. After the talk we had a time of Intercession by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament led by the Various Prayer Groups of Navi Mumbai Zone for the needs of the Nation, Church, Charis, Youths, Prolife etc.

Later Deacon Everest led us into a time of Healing Adoration and Infilling of the Love, Joy and Peace of the Holy Spirit.

Parish Priest Fr John D’mello of St Thresa of Child Jesus Church encouraged us as he spoke about the power of Intercession.

The National Day of Intercession was well supported and coordinated by the BPN and all the coordinators and prayer group of the Navi Mumbai Zone.

Thy Kingdom Come. Thy Will be done. Amen

 

  • THANE- AMBARNATH ZONE

National Intercession Day
2nd October, 2023

It was organized at St. John the Baptist Church, Thane from 3:40 pm to 6:25 pm.
Intercessors from all the 6 prayer groups took part. Around 65 Intercessors participated.

Br Augustine Mendes- Coordinator of Our Lady of Fatima (Majiwada) broke the Word on “How to be a good intercessor and the 4 kingdoms to be prayed over i.e. political kingdom, economic kingdom, kingdom of faith and kingdom of culture.”

Sr Fiona – EC member hosted and Praise & Worship was Led by Sr Fabiola & team (St. John the Baptist). Music was supported by Br George Pinnerio & team (Our Lady of Fatima, Majiwada)

There was Exposition of Blessed Sacrament followed by intercession.

We all experienced a beautiful time with our LORD JESUS CHRIST. We were enlightened, nourished, empowered by the DIVINE PRESENCE and WORD OF GOD. We learnt more about intercession and the areas to intercede.

 

 

  • SOUTH ZONE

National Day of Intercession was organized by South Zone on Sunday 1st October 2023 at St Teresa Church from 6pm to 8pm. Fifty plus Intercessors participated from various Prayer Groups of South Zone.

We began with an anointed time of Praise and Worship followed by Br. Francis Dsouza giving a fruitful talk on “The Power of Intercession”.

Than we had an hour of Intercession exposing the Blessed Sacrament and Intercessors from various Prayer Groups from our Zone led the Intercession.

We were Blessed to be a Blessing for others through Intercession.

 

 

  • SANTA BANDRA ZONE

The National Day of Intercession on 2nd October, was a well- organised time of Praise, Worship and Intercession led by the Santa Bandra zone. We had an approximate number of 300 people in attendance.

It began with an annointed time of Praise and Worship led by Melody and her Angels. Fr. Bastian Thomas share the Word with us. His teaching was very practical and encouraging us to persevere in the Lord’s work in establishing his kingdom here on earth.

Later we had a time of Intercession led by the various parishes of the Santa Bandra Zone for various needs.

We ended with the Holy Eucharist which was celebrated by Fr. Bastian.

An evening well spent in the presence of the Lord.
