Confirmation Retreat for Students at St. Anthony’s, Vakola (12th Jan, 2025)

A retreat for the Confirmation students of St. Anthony’s Church, Vakola was organized by the Youth United for Christ (YU4C) on 12th January, 2025, at St. Anthony’s School Hall, Vakola, with around 70 youth in attendance. The retreat began with an anointed time of praise and worship, setting a spiritually enriching tone for the day.
This was followed by a session on God’s unconditional love for us, highlighting how God works through our parents to shape and guide us. Emphasis was laid on the importance of responding with love and respect, regardless of how we may be treated. A session on the power of music followed, where youth understood how the music we listen to can influence and shape the person we become. The grappling effects of addictions were discussed, emphasizing how one can overcome them with Christ’s strength followed by a session on the dangers of superstitions, encouraging the youth to deepen their faith.
The students into a spirit-filled time of inner healing. The retreat concluded with a thought-provoking session on the power of choices and the importance of aligning one’s decisions with God’s will. The retreat left the students spiritually renewed and inspired to walk in faith.
